No Riding This Weekend
Well, things didn’t work out as planned for this weekend. A couple months back I had registered for the Breathless Agony Century. I dared a friend to ride it, he registered, so I had to register as well. I had planned to do it, but we got a chance to head up to Oakhurst to spend some time with my Aunt. So we changed plans and were all set for a weekend in Oakhurst. The perfect area for the Fargo and some gravel adventures.
Friday came though and Serbrina wasn’t feeling well so we bagged those plans too. However, it turned out to be a great weekend. Even if there was no pedalin’. Well, there were a couple rides around the block, but nothing worth counting. I got to hang out with my Aunt and Grandma and chat over strawberry shakes and banana splits. Had breakfast with my mom and sis who was visiting from up north. My mom gave me her Columbia Granola. I cranked it up and we played the record that was on it. It needs to be checked out, but it works, so that’s pretty cool.
We went to the Farmer’s Market and got some really good fruit and vegetables. Oh yeah, some killer pistachios too. Then we took a drive up the coast to visit the guys at Topanga Creek Bicycles to order Serbrina’s new ride. She’s gotta wait about a month though, so no pics. I even introduced Serbrina to the Egyptian Lover. Can you believe she’d never heard of him! I mean come on!
What was scheduled to be an epic weekend of riding, turned into a epic weekend of family time. Thanks to Serbrina for spending every minute of it with me. Oh yeah, and the dogs too.
