Year One Is Over!
I didn’t even realize that the anniversary had come and gone. The first whole year is complete for FrontageRoads.com. Over the course of a year the focus has shifted to mostly bike related content, but that’s mostly because of time. I wish I was able to do more hiking, motorcycling, backpacking and fly fishing. But I’ve really been enjoying my cycling.
It’s interesting to look back on the year and see how excited I was to complete my first metric century and then my first brevet. Those hurdles have inspired me to reach for even higher goals and I’m really excited to see where I will be at this time next year.
The most rewarding part of maintaining this blog, that I didn’t know when I started, is meeting other people that have similar interests. I’ve been lucky to meet and communicate with some amazing and inspiring people through this blog. They are partly to blame for these lofty goals that I’ve set for myself.
The readership has been slowly increasing over the past couple of months. I think it may be due to finding my niche in the blogosphere. Lately I’ve been focused on Randonneuring and it looks like I’m building an audience. Thoughts? Do you care about the ride stats? Ride reports too long-winded? Whatever. I’m always open to feedback, so please feel free to leave a comment.
Thanks to all the regular readers for checking in, and welcome to the new readers. I hope you’ll stick around for the next year. It’s going to be pretty exciting.
