Descent to La Tuna Canyon Video

by Errin on July 7th, 2010

Ok, disclaimer here. If you’re bored easily or don’t care for mountain bikes, you won’t like today’s post. This is a 5 minute video of the descent down towards La Tuna Canyon. I’m riding the Salsa Fargo. It took about 30 minutes for the complete descent, but I’ve edited it down to 5 minutes. Best to choose the HD option on Youtube and just let it load. Be patient, it’s easier to watch that way.

I’m headed up to Santa Barbara to see a surgeon today. I want to get a second opinion on how my foot has healed. I’m kinda nervous about what he’s going to recommend. If I need to go in for a second surgery that will put a wrench in my current cycling goals. I may be watching this video over and over for the next few weeks. I hope it goes well.

Go out and pedal today!

looks fun! i need to join you next time.
good luck at the surgeon’s office, i hope it’s all good news.

    • Let me know when. I’ve got some other areas I need to check out soon. They won’t be trails like in the video, I promise.

  2. Incredible! I love the way the trail skirts the edge of the canyon.

    • Yeah, that was really cool. It was also kinda scary. Especially because I’d already crashed 2 and ended up off the trail, but there was much room there. I didn’t want to end up off the trail on those sections!

I won’t be riding Otto, sorry. But I will have a great bike. I call it the Croclo-zeiss. (ZCyclocross, geddit?)
I hope you ‘ll come up and say howdy cuz I’m gonna be too tired to remember your picture/face… JP Alice
