Telescope Peak Day 3

I forgot to finish this up. Sorry. I know that there have been a couple of you waiting very patiently for this. Oh, who am I kidding? Anyways, more pics and less words!

Marcus and I got up in the morning and made some coffee. We had planned on making some breakfast but started talking about the burritos in Trona. Well, it didn’t take long for us to decide that a burrito sounded pretty good and much less clean up to boot!

On the way out of the campground we stopped at the Wildrose Charcoal Kilns. They were built in 1877 and are still in great shape. They were built to make charcoal from Pinyon and Juniper Pine. The Charcoal was then taken to the mines in Death Valley 30 miles away.

They always remind me of something. Can’t quite put my finger on it though.

One more stop in Trona before home. Not a bad way to end this trip.

Yeah, we stood up on that peak. Until next time Death Valley.
