This weekend Serbrina and I celebrated our 7 Year Anniversary. To say the time flew by would be an understatement. It hasn’t always been easy though. We’ve had some tough times. It’s hard to put into words just how tough it is to watch the person you love deal with a chronic illness. I just can’t do it. She’s one tough cookie though and a huge inspiration to me. I am a very lucky man to have her by my side.
Serbrina found this video of Ray Davies and sent it to me over the weekend. This song has special meaning to the both of us. It was a great find.
We didn’t make big plans for our anniversary. Just to spend the weekend together. We got a hike in, some family time and we even started watching “Breaking Bad”. I know, exciting stuff. Oh, I fixed a flat on the Mukluk too!
Thanks for being my life partner in crime Serbrina.
Thanks to my Pops cycling has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I guess 1986 is the earliest that I can remember the Tour De France. Greg LeMonds win and the hunting accident the following year. I always wanted to be a climber. Watching those skinny guys climbs those mountains was just unreal to me. It’s still unreal to me.
Over the weekend we were looking through some old photo albums and came across a couple gems. I never raced when I was a kid, but I always had a bike around. As I turn 37 today it seems right to thank the man that has always looked out for me, and made me what I am today. I owe you much. Thanks Pops.
That’s the best way to describe her. With all that she has to go through everyday. Still managing to work 40 hours a week, even though she’s in pain. She’s “Tough As Nails”. No doubt about it. Whenever she says it I get a smile on my face and I know that anything is possible. I’m going to rely on her much in these coming months. I’m glad that she will always be with me.
