I have a favor to ask of you. As you know I try and do as much do-goodery as I can for MS every year. This year I participated in not one, but two centuries for MS. One in Utah and one for my local chapter here in Los Angeles. Oh yeah, both on a fatbike! (Cool right?)
For my local ride here I am the captain of Team Frontage Roads. This year I alone raised $5843 and as a team we raised $9706!! Our team goal was $10,000 so we got really, really close. Here’s where you come in. I just found out that if we raise another $300 in the next few days and meet the goal of $10k our team will win our own tent for next year’s (October, 2015) ride. This tent will be placed at the finish of the Saturday ride and the start of the Sunday ride. This will give my mom, who has MS, as well as any of our supporting team members a place to hang out, relax, chat and cheer the riders on. It would mean a ton to me to get your support to put us over the top.
Here is the link to my donation page. All donations are tax-deductible and will also raise your do-goodery credits 400% for the year. That’s not too shabby.

This coming October I will be participating in another BikeMS event to raise money to kick MS in the balls. People ask why I ride and I’ll tell you. My mom has MS, and my friend Aaron has MS. Those are two solid reasons right there. Two solid people that should not have to deal with this crap. So I pedal my bike, up and over hills, for many miles at a time, to raise money for these two important people.
This year I’m going to make it harder by riding my fatbike 100 miles on Saturday and 50 miles on Sunday. Yeah, that’s gonna tough, but it’s still easier than living with a chronic disease, no matter what it is. Riding a fatbike will hopefully get more people to pay attention to the ride, especially since it’s a hilly route. Anything helps right?
This year Team Frontage Roads has grown and we are up to seven members. We’ve more than doubled our team from last year and hopefully we can meet our goal of $10,000 this year. We’re doing great so far. Keep us going!
Please donate to this cause. It’s a good one. It’s a personal one that means a ton to me. I like to ride my bike, but if I can ride my bike and make a difference, well, that makes all the difference. When I’m out pedalin’ I want to make sure that it’s not for a selfish reason. I want to make the miles count. With your help we can make the miles count. Click here to donate!
