Mudfoot Dirty Hundo

by Errin on March 31, 2014

What could be better than climbing a long and steep dirt road through the Angeles National Forest? Climbing a long and steep dirt road through the Angeles National Forest with like minded people of course! The Mudfoot Dirty Hundo was the second ride put on by the Mudfoot gang/team/trend-setters? I don’t know what they are officially. What I do know is that they know how to ride, they know where to ride and they share it with the cycling community. That is rad!

This route was a mixed terrain ride. Starting in Silverlake and heading out east to the San Gabriel Valley. Then we headed up into the mountains and on to a 25 mile long dirt climb. My kind of route through and through. Advertised as a CX bike route, I rode the Salsa Fargo. Not owning a CX bike (yet) it was the best option I had. The Mukluk would’ve been more fun on the dirt, but a bear to pedal up the paved road. We had a team of three riders, Byron, Jake and myself. It was the best way to spend the day on the bike. Thanks for all the support Mudfoot!
